34 Heritage

Q: Will you be providing a review of Heritage 34 men’s jeans anytime soon? BTW, I enjoyed your interview with Antonio Centeno at RMRS and found it very helpful. -Jon R.
A: I hadn’t planned on it but I will always oblige a request; that’s kind of what I do. 34 Heritage- not a lot to write home about for the ladies but guys this is a must read. A good story is a good story worth sharing.
Heritage doesn’t happen overnight. It’s honed over years of hard work and dedication. In 1952 a 12-year-old Sait Akarlilar apprenticed at a garnet shop in Istanbul, Turkey. The shop was located at house number 34 in the back streets of the grand metropolitan city. Seven years later, after much hard work he owned the shop, from that point on the number 34 has brought him luck. Driven by a passion for quality – and more than 30 years of premium denim manufacturing for industry heavyweights – Sait Akarlilar sought to craft a jean that seemly blends European craftsmanship with the urban sport of cosmopolitan Istanbul.
Sait Akarlilar, the man behind 34 Heritage, has over thirty years of experience creating premium denim products for big names in the fashion industry. Including being the founder of Mavi Jeans. By taking the knowledge he has acquired from those enterprises and combining it with timeless European craftsmanship and modern designs, he has created a denim line for adults. Crafted with a fusion of soft, ring-spun cotton and the latest stretch technology, the pants will fit you with comfortable precision from day one. Hand finished and featuring natural and clean washes, they look as good as they feel. Bringing an element of cosmopolitan artistry to the ultimate casual garment, 34 Heritage jeans demonstrate that quality takes time but a perfect fit doesn’t.
34 Heritage offer a two-way stretch system that is engineered right into the denim so that the fabric moves with your body, allowing these jeans to give when you bend down and to contract when you stand. I don’t know many men that drop it like its hot during their work day but if you are crawling on the floor with your grandchildren or need a good kick ’round pair of jeans these might just be the ones for you. An average rise for a men’s jean on the market is around 9.5-10.5. These measure with an 11.5-inch rise in the front and 17-inch rise in the back to allow the jeans to sit naturally on your waistline. The best thing about 34 Heritage in my book is thier size offering. Finding a denim brand that is of quality for the man wearing a 38 waist to 44 is nearly an impossible task. Well, that’s why I have a job and you have denim options because here is one more brand that you can add to your denim collection that won’t just sit in the closet. I promise- you won’t have to break them in; they’ll just fit!

Hey there, Happy Labor Day! Shoot me an email if you have any additional questions!!
This was a fantastic piece on 34 Heritage… a slightly new perspective on the brands development for me, and I know this brand! I sell it & have been a supporter from day one 🙂
Your readers may be interested in knowing there are a bunch of independent retailers selling this brand, locally & online. Going independent allows you to get stories like this, advance notice of new washes/styles and special orders which are typically not available through large department stores. For example, they actually make jeans for Big & Tall sizes as well! You won’t find that at Nordstrom 😉
Based on you’re review I bought the “34 Heritage Charisma.” Note: ( I normally wear Size 34 in a Wrangler jean, but I had to size down to size 32 in the Charisma And probably could have gone to a 31 if they made it.)
I tried the Courage in a size 32, but the Rise measured 10.5 and they were a little too tapered at the bottom.
I would like to find a jean that is a little more tapered than the Charisma, but has at least an 11 inch rise. Any suggestions?
