Avant-garde HANDCRAFTED denim by:Matias
How many details can one designer use in a single pair of jeans? Matias has taken Handcrafted denim and created a denim collection worthy of international attention and has set the bar in the denim Industry.
Los Angeles based artist turned designer Matias Sandoval says he fell in love with denim while working as a kind of artist in residence at local denim laundry in 2004. Sandoval creates most everything in-house at his art/denim studio, former welding factory. Using fine fabrics such as Japanese selvage, chambray and Italian denims. he takes a “deconstructed” and “reconstructed’. avant-garde approach when creating the designs. Made in small runs, the collection, which boasts raw and vintage-look washes is carried at very selected stores.-Christopher Blomquist
Collier being proud to support this denim artist; swing by and try them on and I dare you to turn them in-side-out.

NITM Denim
Nine in the Morning AKA NITM are jeans made for this summer! They are 100% organic cotton by an Italian denim comapny that uses natural dye. Have you seen the cost of cotton rise… more denim comapnies are finding creat I definitely would wear those flares shown here at a more civil hour. Or maybe I’d go for their really low-waisted skinnies after losing some of my “winter pounds” and getting into shirtless, swimming pool shape myself!

Ksubi knows what they are doing. It is not very often that you see a denim brand in Playboy… but leave it to the French to do it right. When it comes to risque advertising and pushing the limits of fashion the French “go there”. I loved every moment I spent under Paris skies. #denim

Last night I was laying in bed with my workbook, practicing my pronunciation and attempting to make it through chapter 1 of “Learn German Now” *wink *wink. I was obviously distracted by the culture and had to know what jeans were they addicted to. To my surprise Melissa Drier of WWD informed me that Germany is the #1 denim consumer in Europe and they have begun giving back.
They are sold in selected denim doors like Jades in Germany, Mallorca, Ibiza, and maybe LA soon… I am going to get my hands on a pair, my toosh in them and report back to you…
Take a look at the video and you’ll get a taste of what I have seen. The washing techniques are aggressive but placed intentionally. Notice the waist and fly details, the rear pocket details have me in love along with the details on the back of the leg. The studded pants… are hot and I know plenty of people who could wear them like ROCKSTAR!

I needed this this morning… It goes well with coffee. Did you know how to spot a Zombie… or a Supermodel for that matter?
Random- Thanks Greg for sharing! via AllTop
Zombies vs supermodels
Spotting zombies can provide quite the challenge for anyone not up on their undead trends. For example, how do you tell the difference between a zombie and a supermodel? Both boast bony figures and peculiar makeup styles. See, not so easy, eh?
