“Quality never goes out of style”

After reading the post about Levi Strauss it inspired some people to dig through their closets and find those Levi’s that they were positive… they didn’t get rid of. I got pictures. Ms. Marie sent in pictures of her in the Levi Super Flare.

Pocket placement pretty good for creating the curve- Most similar to the William Rast Belle Flare and the Classic Hudson.

Pro: nice denim weight,, curved waistband, the shape of the pocket flaps is better than The William Rast “square” shape and less pointy and have a higher placement then the Hudson. Clean leg line, runs true, and the rise is perfect. My favorite part is the curved waist band… it really wraps around the body. Curved waistbands are my biggest denim peeve as I feel that everyone needs to bring it in about 3/4 of an inch-across the board to really get “the” perfect fit.

Con: In the last few years the pocket placement on jeans has improved so much that a pair of jeans can actually look sexy without even being put on. The pockets are a bit large for today’s market competition but it is a jean that could be brought back with a little trim through the calf making it a great mini flare.

What do you think about flares making a come back in spring? You can still send in your pictures…
