Out of the Shadows

We have stepped out of the shadows and decided to shine a light on the brands using our software on their ecommerce stores. We love nothing more than to amplify beautiful brands and the people behind them. It's time to share with everyone how Luxlock works, who we are, what we've been working on, and why shoppers are loving it.

Being a Female Founder building tech for the fashion industry comes with unimaginable challenges that have nothing to do with capabilities but everything to do with how separated the two industries are from one another. I could never imagine building a fashion brand in public. Today's social media standards have Founders stepping out on day one to share their stories and build a brand. Ready or not... we all build the plane after we jump.

The fashion industry is known for big drops and huge launches. Everything tech startups avoid.; the motto is launch, learn, relaunch. The culture clash has been rough working thorough production schedules that are 14 days long, being late, and moving at 80%. When in contrast I am used to working on 3-6 month production cycles, shipping on-time, and the expectation that everything is at 100% and approved by 5 departments before anyone lays eyes on it. Could you imagine if fashion houses were turning out products every 8 days, getting feedback from every customer, or sending dresses without zippers?

What works for one business is not necessarily good for another. Finding the synergies to merge retailtech into a productive and supportive industry is more about creating culture than just software.

Stylish & Flexible

It's taken years of work to change mindsets and breakdown operating processes to redesign solutions that fit, right out of the box. Ready to say it out loud, Luxlock is fully-commercialized, and now we'll be building in public. The best of both worlds.

Good design is making something intelligible and memorable. Great design is making something memorable and meaningful. -Dieter Rams

What would the consumer gain by using your product or service? This could be tangible, like a free gift; prestige, power or fame. But remember: you must be able to make good on that promise, so don’t offer anything unreasonable.
